Meal Menu to Save Time & Money!
That’s when I knew things had to change. I started out creating a dinner menu for a week at a time. But then I realized I hated grocery shopping every week and thought maybe I could do it for two weeks at a time. I was so surprised that I was able to actually save money simply by cutting my shopping down from every 7 days to every 14 days. As long as I stuck to my list that is! In order to make my life easier and to make sure I wasn’t making the same meals within a 30 day time frame, I decided to start making monthly meal menus. Yes, it takes some creative planning so I am not eating the same meat two days in a row or mashed potatoes every day. Let me forewarn you, my family loves mashed potatoes and corn. They can seriously eat it every night. And…we don’t do brussel sprouts or asparagus! We are that very simple, basic, American family.
With that said, I am going to provide you with my 31-day meal menu that I’ll be using for the month of December. You can download it here, print it out and start your month on the right foot. I’ll also be adding a post shortly that will contain your two week grocery list for all the items that you’ll need to make the meals on the calendar. It will be broken down into two weeks as you’ll only need to go shopping twice a month (with the exception for running out for staple items you run out of like milk or bread, etc…). And I am not going to stop there! I’ll also be providing recipes that I use to create these monthly menu meals so make sure you sign up for my newsletter so you can stay up to date with all the recipes, grocery shopping list and monthly meal menus!
So…don’t forget…download the 31-Day Meal Menu here, sign up for the newsletter, and stay tuned!! I’ll also be jumping on Periscope so be sure you’re following me there and that your notifications are on!

That’s so great you can do monthly menu planning and only go grocery shopping every 2 weeks. I love menu planning but do it every week. Stopping by from SITS Blogging, great chatting with you this morning too. Hope you linkup with us at Small Victories Sunday Linkup too.
You wouldn’t believe how much money you could actually save by cutting down your grocery shopping to twice a month as opposed to every week. It takes some creativity when it comes to meal planning, but I guarantee it would be so much more beneficial. I always get asked, “What happens when you don’t want that particular meal that night?”, answer to that, just pick something off the menu during that two weeks that you’ve already shopped for and flip flop the two meals. Some weeks I do a lot of that switching, but I already have everything I need for it at home and I’m never scrounging around looking for something to make and I always have the ingredients I need. Give it a try for one month and see how you do. 🙂
