    Language Stars: Language Classes for kids! {plus enter to win a $100 GC and Little Pim Gift Set}

    This is a sponsored post…

    I have often looked back at my children’s younger years and wondered what I could have done differently to prepare them for the big world for which they will live and work in and the one thing that keeps coming to my mind is how I wished I would have exposed them to other languages early on. We live in a multi-cultural country and being bi-lingual or multi-lingual has always been something that has fascinated me. We know that babies and kids learn through play and when Language Stars asked me to help spread the word about their play-driven foreign language classes for kids, I couldn’t say no.

    Language Stars holds foreign language classes for kids between the ages of 1 and 10 years old. Utilizing high-energy, FunImmersion(R) method of instruction, students will play games, enjoy art projects, listen to and sing simple themed songs. Language Stars offers foreign language classes in 5 different languages: Spanish, French, Italian, German and Mandarin. You can even sign up for free class trial so you can experience first hand what the program is all about.

    The more I read about what their program has to offer, the more I wish I had this type of program when my children were younger. Language Stars first opened in the Chicagoland area in 1998 and since then, they have grown and now have more than 20 learning centers in the Chicago {including their new N. Wrigleyville center}, Washington, and DC Metro areas.

    The Learning Stars Curriculum has been developed by a team of expert linguists and educators and is aligned with both state and national standards. Tots will learn colors, clothing, food and body parts. Older kids will focus on building functional language skills {expressing possession with “to have” and expressing motion with “to go”} and conversational basics such as, “My name is_____, I’m X years old, I live in_____,” etc. Parents, tots and kids will sing short, simple songs that highlight key words and structures which makes learning more fun. Making it more fun, they have child-friendly themes like Wacky Robots, Dino-mite Dinosaurs, and Pirate’s Treasure that will create a fun backdrop for engagement and learning.

    For those who are interested in learning more, please visit Language Stars and sign up for your free class trial! Also, Language Stars is currently hosting a $100 Language Stars Gift Certificate and Little Pim Gift Set Giveaway! Be sure to check them both out! Don’t miss the opportunity to share the gift of language with your child! Believe me, learning Spanish and Italian as an adult is a lot harder!!! {Please note that the current giveaway is hosted and offered and sponsored by Language Stars, any and all questions relating to this giveaway should be directed to the giveaway sponsor.}
