    Revisiting 100 Things to Do this Summer

    Before the summer officially started we created a list of 100 things to do this summer, view post here. Now that summer is officially over, I looked back over the last few months and I hope that we created some fun and lasting memories for my boys to keep with them. Of the 100 things, we managed to fit in 43 of these activities.

     

    1. Cloud Watching – WE SAW LOTS OF PUPPIES AND ANGRY BIRDS.

    2. Have a Lemonade stand

    3. Ride a train – TOOK A ROUND TRIP RIDE ON KEMAH’S BOARDWALK

    4. Ride scooters – WE RODE BIKES, SCOOTERS, BIG WHEELS.

    5. Scavenger hunt

    6. Amusement park – HOUSTON’S KEMAH BOARDWALK.

    7. Dance party – WE MADE EVERY DAY A DANCE PARTY

    8. Make moon sand

    9. Road trip – GALVESTON BEACH.

    10. Banana split – WE MADE IT AND ATE IT UP.

    11. Pen pal

    12.Find a crazy Snow globe

    13.Go fishing – WENT FISHING WITH GRANDPA

     

    14.Make Root beer floats

    15.Slip and slide – HAD SOME FUN.

     

    16.Breakfast picnic

    17.Arcade

    18.Paint a picture – WE MADE HAND PRINT APPLE TREES.

    19.Star gazing – GOT OUR TELESCOPE OUT AND HAD FUN.

    20.Visit Museum

    21.Go to the Library – WE MANAGED TO MAKE IT EVERY TUESDAY

    22.Bob for apples

    23.Have Story Time at home – EVERY NIGHT AT BEDTIME.

    24.Pick wild flowers

    25.Go swimming – TOO MANY TO COUNT!

    26.Go to the Dollar movies – THE CROODS WITH NANA AND POP POP.

    27.Cook out at home – YES!

    28.Visit the Planetarium

    29.Bean bag toss – HAD FUN WITH GRANDPA DOING THIS

    30.Play Croquet

    31.“drive in movie” in the back yard

    32.Catch bugs

    33.Fly kites – LACK OF WIND MADE THIS ONE HARD.

    34.Have a Magic show – WE ATTEMPTED THIS, BUT WAS QUICKLY FIZZLED OUT.

    35.Feed ducks

    36.Have a Movie night at home – YES! I THINK THIS WAS THEIR FAV.

    37.Play Mini golf

    38.Visit grandparents – WE HAD LOTS OF TRIPS TO THE GRANDPARENTS.

    39.Cereal art

    40.Craft night – THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!

    41.Make pizza

    42.Water balloon fight – WE HAD 2 WATER BALLOON FIGHTS.

     

    43.Roast marshmallows – SO MUCH FUN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY

    44.Visit a pet store

    45.Snow cones – TWICE!

     

    46.Homemade cookies – WELL, WE MADE SOME BROWNIES. 🙂 

    47.Play in sprinklers – LOTS OF TIMES.

    48.Camp outside

    49.Go for a walk – ATTEMPTED A FEW TIMES, BUT TOO HOT.

    50.Make play dough

    51.Dance in the rain – WAS ACTUALLY ABLE TO DO THIS THIS SUMMER!!

    52.Make a bird feeder

    53.Weenie roast

    54.Ride bikes – HAD A BLAST AND BRAVED THE HEAT.

    55.Farmers market

    56.Blow dandilions

    57.Puppet show

    58.Play Frisbee

    59.Sidewalk chalk – DREW SOME GREAT PICS ON THE DRIVEWAY.

    60.Have a water gun fight – DADS AGAINST SONS! 

     

    61.Have a mid summer night celebration

    65.Go to a Splash Park – DOES OUR COMMUNITY SPLASH PARK COUNT??

    66.Go for a Car ride – WE WENT FOR SOME FUN DRIVES AROUND OUR NEIGHBORHOOD.

    67.Have a Backyard dinner

    68.Bathtub paint

    69.Make Bubbles – WE BLEW LOTS OF BUBBLES BUT DIDN’T MAKE ANY.

    70.Play a board game – CANDYLAND WAS OUR FAVORITE.

     

    71.Play hot potato

    72.Make a mask

    73.Hula hoop contest

    74.Play bingo

    75.Go on a hike

    76.Watch fireworks – yes

    77.Make an obstacle course

    78.Visit a new playground – YES! WE VISITED A FEW AROUND TOWN

    79.Tour fire station

    80.Paper airplane contest

    81.Have a party just because – OF COURSE! WE LOVE TO CELEBRATE!

    82.Go to a petting zoo

    83.Go to the zoo

    84.Plant a garden

    85.Make trail mix

    86.Leaf rubbings

    87.Breakfast for dinner – MANY TIMES. OUR FAVORITE FOODS!

    88.Catch a firefly

    89.Go peach picking

    90.Go bowling – WE MADE IT TO THE PARKING LOT, BUT HAD TO TURN AROUND CAUSE WE FORGOT SOCKS.

    91.Make a time capsule

    92.Pillow fight – YES. MOMMY LOST.

    93.Celebrate Christmas in July

    94.Leave a secret treat for a neighbor

    95.Go to story time at a bookstore

    96.Visit a farm – WE VISITED FOR SOME PICTURES. 

    97.Tea party

    98.Paint with pudding

    99.Write a letter to grandparents and mail them. – GRANDMA LOVED HER LETTERS.

    100. Decorate bikes for a parade

     

    Looking forward to getting back to our fall schedule and back to a little bit of normal but going to miss all the fun and excited of the summer. Here’s to our very first summer break!
