A new year, a new start!

Wow, what a whirlwind 2013 was?! Can not believe it’s already over. That time went by so fast. Faster then I would like to admit even. We celebrated many birthdays, events, and milestones in 2013. But looking forward to see what 2014 has in store for use. Even though I am dreading the last half of the year. My baby boy is heading off to kindergarten and I know I will be a complete mess the few months leading up to and the 9 months after. It’s just too soon! He is still just a baby. Even though he is about to be 5 years old in another month.

Even though the year just started, my calender already seems full. I started added and changing some items in the home to get it a fresh look. New rug in the living room, new throw pillows, new comforter in the bedroom. I received some art for our walls as well. I will be sharing pics and before and afters of these in a bit. So excited!!

The biggest event of our year so far…. We officially lost our first tooth!!!!!

At 6 years and 6 months old, Braden finally lost his very first tooth!!!! This is a HUGE deal since he is already in first grade and the last of all the children in his class to have lost a tooth. We celebrated with a trip for ice cream plus he insisted on leaving a healthy snack for the tooth fairy. Celery and ranch dip with a bottle of water.

I have actually been able to go to the gym during our holiday break. Not as often as I would have liked to, but with the two boys at home, I am surprise I made it the few days I did. Now that school is back I can go more often. I surprising like heading to the gym each morning. Gives me something to look forward to and even though I am a sweaty mess when I leave but usually feel satisfied and have more energy throughout the day to help keep up with the boys. My weight loss journey has been slow go but I am happy to report that it is at least a go. That I am proud of.

I am also starting back to school in a few weeks. Yes, 3rd times a charm right? I have no idea what I want to do, but a degree in travel management and graphic design are not doing me any good, so I thought why not. Going to take some English and writing classes, maybe help me out a bit with blogging and writing stories. I am pretty excited. Class starts in 2 weeks and its strictly online through a local college. EEK!

This year I have my little babies 5th birthday, our 11th wedding anniversary, my big boys 7th birthday, Blake heading to kinder, lots of parties and celebrations in between and I can not wait to share it with everyone!

Toni 🙂
