    Forgiveness Friday Learning To Forgive Yourself

    Forgiveness Friday Learning to Forgive Yourself, it’s a pretty powerful title, don’t you think?  You can not be a successful person if you do not know how to forgive.  Forgiveness is a hard thing to master, but it is something that is so completely rewarding once you do.  I’m not going to lie, I still have to work on this which is why I started this amazing three-day series.  I believe that tying Motivation Monday, Willpower Wednesday and Forgiveness Friday all into one series will help myself, and hopefully, others to create a simple level of balance between your thoughts and actions.  When you give it your all, and you really do put the work into this, you will start to see a slow transformation that can be life altering.

    So, let’s take this quote for instance.  It is so captivating because it speaks the truth! 

    Although you should not erase your responsibility for the past, when you make the past your jailer, you destroy your future.  It is such a great moment of liberation when you learn to forgive yourself, let the burden go, and walk out into a new path of promise and possibility.  –John O’Donohue

    You never want to erase what you’ve done in the past.  That is what has molded you.  It is what has taught you what was right and wrong, within your own conscious mind.  But when that past is all you can think about, there is no way for you to escape and create a better future.  You need to stop, keep those negative feeling and thoughts and lock them up in that jail, but you must forgive yourself and walk out that prison door, never to look back again.  Think of the moment when you can finally say, I forgive myself for all I’ve done in the past.  Don’t you think it would be like a huge weight lifted off your shoulders?  Don’t you think you will walk with your head held a little higher?  Don’t you think that you can smile without worry?  If you let all that burden of what you’ve said and or done in the past go, you can finally walk into a new path of promise and possibility.  Think of all the missed opportunities you’ve had because you’ve been focusing on things that you cannot change or fix.  The only thing you can do is put it all behind you and move forward into the life you were meant to live.

    Forgive Yourself!

    So today, it’s Forgiveness Friday Learning to Forgive Yourself, so what I want you to do, myself included, is to forgive yourself for all that you have done to yourself over the past four days.  What ever you did on Monday to sabotage yourself and your goals…you are forgiven.  What ever you did on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to sabotage yourself and your goals…or if you did something you weren’t too proud of…forgive yourself.  You have my permission to just let that burden go and walk a new path this weekend.  Hold your head up high, be proud and smile! 

    Can you do it?  Can you finally…finally, forgive yourself?  What do you say?  You with me?
