It’s been a long time since we’ve played with Hot Wheels but I had to test out this super cool Hot Wheels track builder and add on pieces! First, it’s all about the set up. Putting together the Hot Wheels Workshop Track Builder Starter Set track was very easy. All you do is slide the two ends together and it’s as good as done! I was amazed at how simple it was to piece it all together. I had to shoot a video so you can see how many ways you can have cars go flying by…and this isn’t all of it either. There are some “empty” areas that you can easily attach other tracks to. The video is only 5 seconds long, but I can tell you we had hours of fun with this one. Gianna yells “awesome” as she throws her hands in the air.
There is the Hot Wheels Track Builder Hoop Shot Deluxe Stunt Set. As the car is coming down the track it trips a switch and flips the car into the basketball hoop breaking the backboard to pieces! This by far was our favorite accessory! Hot Wheels Track Builder Deluxe Daredevil Drop Stunt Set is an insane free fall! Hot Wheels Track Builder Digital Speedometer Accessory measures the speed of two Hot Wheels cars racing past to reveal a winner! Lift and Launch and Hot Wheels Track Builder Deluxe Quick Kick Loop Stunt Set are fun add on pieces that create a flying & loop that is out of control! There are so many ways you can create your race track, so many different accessories that you can add on to, and of course, so many different cars you can use!
Hot Wheels has always been a lot of fun to play with and they will continue to challenge creativity for kids of all ages…including moms and dads! 🙂

Is the track still alive? I am considering getting a hot wheels track because my kid loves hot wheels (even wrote an article because of that called: Hot Wheels vs Matchbox ). I am considering this because I bought my kid a Darda pull back car and was intending to buy the tracks later on but it was a complete disaster. The toy was a complete rip off and everywhere online I only see positive reviews on blogs. The car fell apart the instant it touched something, it was made from plastic (20 years ago they were metal), was now manufactured in China instead of Germany, the wheel axle bent and the engine stopped working properly after only a few days. Keep in mind that a single pull back car costs around 10 – 15 dollars. Wrote an article about it called Darda Cars, just check out the photos and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
