Real life issues? No worries, there’s Netflix!

Whether you have a little kiddo, tween or teen, you will always have real life issues to contend with.  Some of the issues you just can’t come right out and talk about so what do you do?  You can always Google things.  You can also try to find a book or something relatable so that you can ease your way into that conversation.

Netflix + Real Life =

Gateway for Discussions

Sometimes you can just sign in to your Netflix account and find that perfect show that acts as a segue to your situation and gives you the opportunity to discuss things that you might not have discussed otherwise.  Some things may be very important issues (to your child, no matter what their age is) that could be hard for your child to share with you.  You want nothing more than to be there for your child when they need you, even when they think they don’t!

Girl Meets World

What if your tween experiences social media FOMO?  {That would be the fear of missing out for those of you who aren’t as hip as me – teehee.}  In that case, you can watch Girl Meets Boy.  Cory challenges his class to unplug from their phones for a week.  When Riley and her crush Lucas sit down to talk face-to-face, personal stories bring them closer.

No matter what the situation is, you can find something on Netflix that is relatable to the ever changing needs of a kiddo, tween or teen.  You just have to search!
