Ok, so it wasn’t a real spa day but it was as close to one as I will be getting and I have a vivid imagination! I was given some products to test for the readers here and Moms With A View so I would love to share my review with you now. I tried out the New, Vibrant Shine Shampoo and Conditioner, the Daily Exfoliating Body Wash and the Invisible Solid Tropical Paradise 24-Hour Protection Anti-perspirant/Deodorant all made by Suave. First I have to say it was such a pleasant experience I can only hope I get to do it again; actually shower without interruptions I mean! LOL Ok, ok, on to my review. I really took my time with this and made sure I took special notice of everything that I liked and if there was something I didn’t like, I made a mental note of that a well. I was fully prepared.
Starting with the shampoo and conditioner I have to say that I was very happy with both. The cost is affordable which I “love”. When I first put it on my hair I had to really take in the scent because I wasn’t sure what it was I was smelling, then it clicked, just as the bottle suggests, it is professional. The scent was that of a professional salon type shampoo, only with out the big price tag. I was very pleased with that. Did I mention the cost of this experience would be $2.49 (ish) each so far? Next was the conditioner. I usually don’t like conditioner because it takes forever to dry afterwards but the hot summer heat does a number on my hair so I usually condition it every other shampoo. With the same scent as the shampoo, I was again in faux beauty salon heaven. After rinsing my hair, the conditioner left my hair feeling very smooth, but I would have to wait until it dried. I do not blow dry my hair, ever, so this was a test to see how long and how straight it dried.
Ok, so now on to the body wash. OMG, I am so loving this body wash! Anything that smells like coconut in the summer makes me happy. It makes me feel as if I am on a vacation and after being in the shower for as long as I was with out a child interrupting me, it really felt as if I was on a real one! I love, love, love this body wash. I think I will name it my new favorite summer product! With the exfoliating ingredients and the cocoa & shea butter, it left my skin feeling so smooth and clean. My shower smelled like the Bahamas! It was amazing!! So far with all my three products I would probably cost around $7.50ish for this spa moment, which is totally do-able because I can capture that feeling and moment for at least another few weeks each time I enter the shower!!!
But my happiness did not end there, oh no it didn’t!!!! I also tried out the anti-perspirant/deodorant! Lucky for me I got the Tropical Paradise scent and that just totally sent me through the roof! How perfect of a review is this? I am not one for solids but I did enjoy this one primarily because of the scent. As well as it worked, I am just not so sure I would get it again, but if they made it in a gel, I’d for sure get it. The one thing that I did really like and don’t ask me why because there is no real reason, but I like the dial at the bottom of the deodorant bottle, it was not just a little turn dial, the whole bottom turned. Like I said, I can’t explain that one, but I love that part, lol! Oh, one more thing, it did not leave any white residue on my clothing…another plus! With regards to the solid, that is just my personal preference but if you like solids this would be the perfect end to your faux spa day!
All in all, it was truly a time to relax, take in every moment by myself, for myself and I really enjoyed every moment, every scent and product. BTW, my hair dried beautifully after the conditioning treatment. It dried smoother than it had in a long time! Usually it is a bit frizzy on the ends but not this conditioner! It left it smooth and flat, even my ends! Even my husband commented on how smooth my hair felt. Now, that right there has to say something about how well this product is! For anyone’s husband to notice the softness of a wife’s hair, that speaks volumes for sure!
