Netflix Now Has 5 Minute Shows To Help With Bedtime Stalling Tactics!
Ah yes, I remember those days. The days where I’d hear little footsteps above me and then those same little footsteps made their way down the stairs and before I knew it, a little one was standing in front of me asking for a drink of water, or that they needed a certain toy, or that they just needed me to read them another book. or that they were too hot to sleep, or that they forgot they had homework they needed to do. They clearly were going to fall asleep any time soon either. I remember begging and pleading with them to find their way back up the stairs and into their bed. I remember going upstairs many times to re-tuck them in and hoping they don’t need to have their 5th sip of water, or that they wouldn’t get up 19 more times to go potty.
You see in the above graphic that Netflix polled parents globally and based on that particular poll, I’ve determined that my child/ren have mastered each and every stall style. But the one thing that can be used as a bedtime tool is Netflix. Netflix and DreamWorks Animation launched Dinotrux 5 Minute Favorites, new episodes of the latest hit, all in a nice little 5-minute package. Because each show is only 5 minutes, you can tell your child they can stay up to watch one show on Netflix and give them a list of their options. Once they have watched their special bedtime show, it’s off to bed with no excuses!
I know that there are so many bedtime stallers out there. You may even have one living with you right now! If your kids came up with a completely out-there excuse, I’d love to hear all about it!
