What’s on your grill?

Grilling season is in full force, so what’s on your grill?  Today is the 4th of July and it’s filled with friends, family and food.  Grilling is a must on the 4th.  There are so many things that you can grill these days like watermelon or pineapple. Who knew?

I’m pretty traditional with my grilling though so I like to keep to the basics but I think I’ll step outside our comfort zone and try grilled pizza or pineapple.

For today though, it’s burgers, Italian sausage and hot dogs. Nothing exciting but I’ll share my burger recipe with you.  It’s a family favorite.

Grilled Burgers
Serves 4
Write a review
  1. 1-2 pounds of ground beef
  2. 1 egg
  3. Italian breadcrumbs
  4. Grated Parmesan cheese
  5. Parsley
  1. Simply mix all together and create quarter pound patties. Be sure to poke your finger into the center to create a little dip. It helps the burger to keep its shape.

You want to add enough breadcrumbs and cheese to bind it.  I add just a sprinkle or two of parsley for flavor and color.  Mix it all together and divide into patties.

It’s as easy as that. Nice flavor, simple and quick.  Just the way I like it!

So today as you enjoy all your delicious grilled foods, take some time to look around and be grateful for all you have.  Happy 4th to you and yours! Stay safe!

P.S.  I’ll update with a photo of my burgers! 🙂
