Last summer my mom was re doing her kitchen and she had this painted wood ladder over her kitchen island that was used to hang pots off of. She was taking it down and throwing it out. But, I was able to snatch it up before so. I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it at the time, but I knew I wanted it.
After searching on Pinterest one day I came across some blanket ladders. Wooden ladders that draped blankets over their rungs. I got a great idea and got to work.
I sanded down the wood base to make sure there were no splinters or rough, sharp patches.
Got to work on staining it. I used a mahogany stain we already had on hand.
Waited for it to dry and placed in our living room.
Perfect! Simple, easy, and makes a great piece for our living room.
