Dream Big Little Pig

Last night I had the honor of having my girls meet an U.S. Gold Medal Olympian–who is still inspiring through her words. Kristi Yamaguchi was at a local bookstore here in my area, signing her latest children’s book Dream Big Little Pig.  I have to say it was amazing to meet Kristi Yamaguchi and listen to her read Dream Big Little Pig to all the children.  My youngest daughter was in complete awe as Kristi read the book aloud to the whole store. (Guess what I think I was even more in awe.)

The book signing went so fast– I felt like I was the new kid at Starbucks trying to look over the menu and I didn’t know what to order, so I just rushed along too.  Doh!  However, it was a privilege to meet Krisiti Yamaguchi as well as have my girls meet this wonderful woman too.  Not only is she a Gold medal Olympian, Dancing with the Stars winner, but a Founder of a magnificent foundation Always Dream Foundation , a portion of the proceeds from Dream Big Little Pig goes to this foundation. (*Twofer.. you are helping a great organization and teaching a lesson when you purchase this book*)

Dream Big Little Pig is a cute story about a pig named Poppy, who dreams big.  She follows her dreams but isn’t always successful in her pursuit.  However, instead of giving up Poppy remembers the words of her family and friends, and she keeps pushing forward.  Poppy dreams big and does not give up! Dream Big Little Pig has an excellent lesson to teach your children– never give up.
