I received the best gift in the mail the other day and couldn’t wait to test it out. I have a 4 year old and a 7 year old who absolutely love to learn. They are both very techy and can understand how things work without even having to have mom read directions. When they saw that the box contained “Poingo” they knew exactly what it was and couldn’t wait for me to get it opened.
The Poingo starter kit comes with the pen shaped Poingo, two large, hardcover interactive story books and a USB cord that allows you to connect to your PC or Mac to receive free music, and as new books are added to the Poingo library, you will be able to download those as well. The Poingo comes pre-loaded with content from six Disney storybooks.
When the kids finally got me to open the box, they took everything out and immediately started using it. I have to admit, it is a really cool, interactive (and best yet, a learning) toy. They flipped through all the pages of both books so fast, and then they did it again, this time focusing on all the different images to hear what they would say or ask. Now after using the Cars book for a day, Gianna, my 4 year old, knows what state we live in and where it is located on the map. How cool is that?
Ok, so when they were done, I was playing with it! No, I am not 3-7 years of age, but it was still fun to see what all the different pictures would say! I love Nemo! Kids get to learn about sea life, play games and answer questions about the story. It is a great way to get kids interested in reading and learning. Another good feature is the cost. For a retail price of $34.99 it would make a great Christmas gift for your child, or any other for that matter. Poingo is available at Target, Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Costco, Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesale Clubs, and online directly from DiscoverPoingo.com.
Without a doubt, Poingo should be under your Christmas tree this year if you have children between the ages of 3 & 7. It is a great way to get them motivated to learn and to have fun in the process. I know we will be on the look out for the other 4 books and will be eagerly awaiting new storybooks in the future.
