Are you “Sun” safe?

With summer heat and sun beating down upon you, are you sun safe?  We spend many hours outside, especially on the weekends because my son is on a travel baseball team.  We are usually sweating stuck outside for a minimum of 2 hours and sometimes we can be out there for 3 games which is about 6+ hours.  When we go outside to swim in the pool, we are out there for about 3 hours or more at a time.  It’s hot out, even in the water.  Being outside in the summer is just something we all do.  What we all don’t do is protect ourselves from the sun, and we should!  We are quick to cover our kids up, but what about us parents?  We need it too!

Coppertone Sunscreen Protection

Coppertone Sunscreen products make it easy for everyone in the family to have the necessary amount of sun protection.  Shown in the photo is a variety of Coppertone products that were sent to us to test out.  The only one that I have missing from the photo is the Coppertone Sport because we used it all before I had the opportunity to include it in the photo!  Again, while out at sporting events it was important for me to make sure my son was completely covered…especially on the neck area!  We usually have at least one day that he burns on the neck so I wanted to make sure that it didn’t happen this year.  Before going out on the field, I sprayed him good.  After a couple hours of sweating out there in the hot humid sun he was fine!  That makes me happy to know that I didn’t have to keep spraying him because he sweated it all off.

My oldest loves pool parties with her friends and they are usually outside for hours in the sun and in the water.  For this type of day, I had her spray on the Coppertone ClearlySheer for Beach & Pool on her body and had her put the Coppertone ClearlySheer Faces for Beach & Pool on her face and ears.  They are both water resistant {up to 80 minutes}, won’t clog pores, and leaves skin feeling smooth and soft, not heavy and sticky!  They also have a Coppertone ClearlySheer for Sunny Days {this is great to use for gardening or hiking!}.

My younger two use the Coppertone Kids Sunscreen Stick & Lotion because it’s made specially for them and their tender young skin.  It is tear free and has an SPF of 50.  It too is water resistant, hypoallergenic and super gentle for their skin.  I personally love the stick because I can carry that in my purse and then there is no excuse not to use it!

If you have babies, it’s even more so important to protect their delicate skin and you can do that by using the Coppertone Water BABIES Pure & Simple SPF 55 lotion with zinc oxide.  This one also comes in a stick form so you can toss that right into your diaper bag to insure that your little ones skin is protected year round!

All these products retail anywhere from $5.49-$10.49 and are available nationwide at food, drug, mass and internet retailers.  I suggest you pick some up and start using it today!
