#BackToSchool #Trend – Sydney Paige Inc. Valencia Youth Backpack

One thing kids need when heading back to school is a good sturdy backpack. It doesn’t matter what grade they are in, they need something that can stand through a little wear and tear, especially when they are younger! They also need something that is built sturdy enough to tote around text books, agenda books and folders! We have selected one backpack for each age group that we feel meets all the necessary requirements for backpack back to school use.  We are starting our Backpack features with the youth line from Sydney Paige Inc.  We were sent the Orange Tunnels Valencia Backpack for the purpose of this review.  Once we received it, the first thing we noticed was the bright bold design.  Orange for us is such a happy color {maybe it’s because we have long winters – or so they seem} and it always reminds me of sunshine.  The color isn’t the only thing that I noticed as a mom, I am also always looking at the zippers and the quality of them.  I hate spending money on backpacks for the zippers to blow out in two weeks resulting in me having to hunt down another backpack.   The quality of the zippers are great!  They are heavy with a nice zipper pull that isn’t flimsy and I don’t see them breaking anytime soon!  Those two things alone make me a happy mom.

But what do the kids think?  I’m told it fits around the neck area great.  It doesn’t hurt there {which is good because we’ve tried on many backpacks and that was the one thing that was a deal breaker for us}.  It also has a spot for you to clip those little backpack toy things that my kids like to pile on (you know the Minecraft, hello kitty, and anything under the sun they can clip to it).  Those pieces are also very sturdy so I imagine you can get a few of them on there an it won’t have any real pull.  The other thing we all liked was the amount of compartments.  There is a spot or slot for everything!  You can put a name tag in there,  {or moms business cards…teehee}, pens, cell phone, you name it.    You can put water bottles on the side {one in each side pocket}.  It’s adjustable so that makes it nice for comfort alone.  This is a backpack that will last the entire school year, for sure!  They also have preschool and big kid size backpacks so be sure to visit Sydney Paige Inc. on Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest!
