Halloween Books for school age boys

I have mentioned before, that we are huge book readers and lovers here. But, sometimes the cute little puppy books we read just doesn’t appeal to my 6 year old and the more advance series are too much for my 4 year old. 2 years age difference, well actually 19 months, may not seem too big, but when the 6 year old is in his 2nd year of school and around other 6 and 7 year olds and experiencing all of their likes and dislikes, his preferences change dramatically.

He no longer enjoys the cutesy Spot lift the flap books. He wants the monsters, zombies, trucks, and things that boys naturally do. But, those things are still a little out of reach for my 4 year old. He is still into puppies, Mickey Mouse, and all the cute lift the flap books. So, with Halloween approaching I found a great list of books perfect for my school aged son that is great for ages 5 and up. Some are even good for my 4 year old, but this list is made just for my oldest.

We are HUGE fly guy fans. So, Fly Guy and the Frankenfly is a perfect addition to our collection.

We’re Going on a Ghost Hunt is a perfect book to read together to both my 4 year old and my 6 year. Not too scary fun.

We see Crankenstein every morning! LOL. This is perfect to explore their emotions.

Who needs a pet dog or a pet rock when you can have a pet ghost! My First Ghost comes complete with your very own ghost and instructions on how to care for it.

Braden brought this book home from school the other day and I was skeptical. The carrots seemed really scary and I didn’t want them thinking their food was going to scare them. But, Creepy Carrots was a hit and one of his favorites.

Who doesn’t love a good Halloween party??? Especially when its in a Black Lagoon! The Halloween Party from the Black Lagoon is sure to get you in the Halloween festivities.

No body wants to be the boy who cried wolf. Oh, wait. BIGFOOT!! The boy who cried BIGFOOT is one to add to your library.

Happy Halloween Everyone!
