These are tried and tested, many times over and always a hit in our house.
They are very simple and very easy to make.
Ingredients:
For Chips –
Wonton Wrappers
2 – 3 egg whites
Olive Oil
Italian Seasoning
For rest of nachos –
Asiago Cream sauce (I used Classico Jar brand)
Crumbled and cook Italian Sausage
2-3 finely chopped Roma tomatoes
Chopped green onions (I cut up about 4)
Small can of sliced black olives
1-2 chopped pepperoncini peppers
Shredded Mozzarella cheese
To make Chips –
Cut about 12-15 wonton wrappers in half, diagonally.
Place in a bowl and toss with olive oil.
Brush with egg whites and sprinkle with seasonings and place on a cookie sheet
Baked at 350 for about 10min or until golden brown.
Let cool.
Assemble nachos –
Layer chips onto a cookie sheet or oven safe dish.
Layer with cooked and crumbled sausage, sauce, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and finally cheese.
Place in oven for about 5min or until cheese has melted.
