My pick for best Toddler Books, (This week anyway.)

If your toddler is anything like mine, then you know the love and passion they have for their books. My boys, ages 3 and 1/2 and 2 years old are totally in love with books. All kinds!!! But, they do have their favorites. But, sometimes that favorite beloved book ends up by the wayside in lieu of the new flashy book with the giant puppy on the cover. However, there are a few that they always come back to. These books to them, are the best things ever and even after picking up that new flashy book, they still want their favorite, familiar book to read before bedtime. Its comfort to them and I am more then happy to read it to them. So, what book brings huge smiles to their faces?

Braden’s top book pick for this week – “I Love You, Stinky Face” by Lisa McCourt.

“Mothers love their children and this unconditional love is truly tested in I LOVE YOU, STINKY FACE. Lisa McCourt and Cyd Moore beautifully weave a reassuring tale of the love and affection of a parent. The imaginative son turns himself into a meat-eating dinosaur, a swamp creature and much, much more before being satisfied with the fact that no matter how stinky he is or how slimy of a creature he could possibly be, he is loved and nothing will change that.” per Google

We have had to purchase this book several times because we have worn it out reading it so many times. It is a wonderful book. I love the pictures and the story line and best of all, my son loves it too.

Blake’s top book pick for this week – Tails by Matthew Van Fleet

“A crew of colorful critters drag, pull, swat, and wag their tails while teaching lessons about counting and opposites. Interactive surprises with bouncy, rhyming text make for a tail-wagging good time.” per CBOMC.

Blake is a huge animal fanatic and any book about them he is in love with. This one in particular because he can touch and feel the different types of tails and materials while also learning about different types of animals. He loves it and so do I. The illustrations are great and perfect for my little animal lover. A must read.

These books are staples in our household and are toddler approved. They will absolutely put a smile on their face. Plus, these books are great for parents to read too. Especially since you usually have to read them over and over again. 🙂

    🙂 Toni
