As the fall weather rolls in, my family bundles up on the couches with our blankets and watch the roaring fire while we stream Netflix. As a family, we have family movie nights at least once a week. And, with Halloween right around the corner, the weather getting cooler, I can safely assume we will be kicking back watching Netflix this weekend in preparation for the spooky holiday. Netflix is sharing some of their popular movies with us.
Stream and Scream with Netflix!
I have some family Halloween movies to share of my own. For the older kids, they enjoy movies (or shows) like Practical Magic, Good Witch, and Supernatural. For the younger ones (and by younger I mean the 12 & 15-year-old), they enjoy movies like The Adams Family, Escape to Witch Mountain, and Hotel Transylvania 2. One family movie that we can watch together and is sure to bring a spooky smile to our faces; Spooky Buddies. Because it’s a movie with puppies!
Halloween isn’t all about movies; it’s about fun and treats! When my kids were younger, I would make some of their costumes. I remember Alyssa’s first Halloween. She was dressed up as a Peapod. I wish I had some photos of her in her costume and if I ever find them, I’ll update this post and share them with you. My mom and I used a green footed, zip up sleeper and created little green peas to sew onto the sleeper. We even created a cute little hat with a stem on top! Alyssa was such an adorable little peapod! This sweet no-sew Care Bears Costume reminded me of Alyssa’s first costume. I love anything that is quick and easy and this particular costume fits my criteria to a tee.
