While visiting my parents, who live out in the country in east Texas, a few weekend back, I came across this large, over sized, bench type item that was this dark shade of green. Now, we are in the process of moving to a new home and after seeing this item, I got this bright idea in my head to paint and turn this large over sized item into a perfect entry way piece for our new home. However, the color was awful!
So I found the perfect color and got to painting. I used Rustoluem Painter’s Touch spray paint in Heirloom White. Took me 5 cans. Only took me a few hours one morning. I was pretty lucky that it was very hot outside and didn’t have to wait too long to dry between coats. 🙂
I knew I wanted something to hang coats, backpacks, hats, and such on when you walk in. Plus, I wanted a place to sit to take off your shoes when you come in. So, I added some hooks. I thought it turned out fantastic. This is not the final photo. I still need to move it in to our new home and add baskets underneath and a cushion. But, I couldn’t wait to share!!
Only cost me $15.00 for paint and $12.00 for hooks. Pillows were on loan for pic. 🙂
