Valentines Day is just around the corner and I got a message from my son’s kindergarten teacher that he needs to make a box to store his Valentines. I was really excited to see that Hobby Lobby has all their Valentines on sale for 40% or more. I searched the aisles and found happen upon a Monster Valentines box kit. It really only included giant googly eyes and antennas. LOL. But, for $2.00, I thought it would be perfect. she gets from his classmates. I was super excited and ready to take on this challenge. I asked him what he wanted his box to look like. He said a monster so I got straight to work!
I took an empty juice case, like Capri Sun or Honest Kids. I used the Honest Kids. Taped the open part of the box back together. Then wrapped the box in blue construction paper. I used glue and tape and covered every inch of the box.
I then cut a long, rectangular hole in the larger “front” side of the box to make a mouth. I then cut teeth out of white paper and glued inside the box to hang in the opening.
I glued the googly eyes and antenna on to the box as well. Then made a nose. 🙂 Voila! Simple and easy monster box!
