Tots To Teens Magazine is seeking volunteer editors. We are growing by leaps and bounds and are in need of additional hands (for typing daily website content) and creative individuals (who can think outside of the box with their writing).
What does it take to be a volunteer editor? You really need to be a team player. All of us put a lot of effort into what we do here and we love what we do, which doesn’t really make it seem like work at all. While we understand that our writers are also parents, many are stay at home parents, and that is ok, we just ask that you are up front and can communicate your needs to us.
What are your responsibilities as one of our Editors? On average, you are looking at posting one post 3 times a week in your assigned category. You must know (or at least be willing to learn) the WordPress format as that is what we use here at Tots To Teens Magazine. You will also be asked to help promote giveaways (on your own personal blog/website/facebook/twitter, etc…), manage our social media (after you post your article on our website, we ask that you share the link on our Tots To Teens Facebook account and follow up by responding to comments), review products (we often get asked to review or consider products for our guide, you will be our go to person for product reviews in your category), and serve on our Parenting Panel (coming soon…parenting forum).
What is in it for you? We want to feature you and your site (if you have one). We are prepared to share the love and give you linking back to your site. At the end of each post you write, you will have a special bio to add and within that bio will be a direct link back to your website. If you do not have a website, that is ok too! Your post will be seen on our Featured slider at the top of the main page and we are fully prepared to promote your post on Facebook and Twitter as well. You are also given a special title and your head shot and full bio (with site link) is added to “Our Editors” page. You will even get to have your own Introduction/Interview post before you begin so our readers will know all about you before you even share your first post! We do not want to over work our volunteers so if at any time you need a break, or just want to scale things back a bit, please just let us know. We are very flexible if we are kept in the loop.
If that sounds good to you, then please read on…
