I haven’t had that moment in FOR.EVER. Seriously, you have to understand my house to know that my office is the catch all room for EVERY.THING imaginable. You will find so much stuff in this tiny room than you thought was even possible. There are old clothes that kids toss in here that need to make their way to my basement for the yearly garage sale, there are papers galore that somehow make their way here along with boxes upon boxes filled with products that still need to be reviewed. It’s just a catch all room and I have been struggling to find a way to get it organized and stay that way. In all obviousness, I have failed with each attempt. Until this last round. I have made it my goal to get this office to run smoothly and efficiently and without clutter. Granted it will take some time to get it to the place I want it to be, but as I mentioned in previous posts in this organizational series, I am starting small and working my way up and around the room. Today’s post will be showing the top of my desk. As I was working from the file cabinet and the floor up, the top of the desk was the gathering place and once I made it to the top, I would clean and organize it accordingly so at first glance you might be scared. Very, very scared. But, I assure you, it doesn’t normally look this bad…although you couldn’t even if you wanted to, see the top of the desk. Until today.
My desk is an “L” shaped desk and now that it is all cleaned up, there is actually a lot of space up in here! I love that it is so spacious! I have to remember this feeling…it’s a good one! Little by little it is all starting to come together! Next phase of this organizational process…the shelves above my desk. There are three of them…filled with books and office essentials! 🙂 Until next time…wish me luck!
